Sadie Norwick, TIES Vice President of Federal Engagement and Economic Development, brings 20 years of experience in science and technology education and leadership, marked by major strengths in strategic growth, innovation, operational and education leadership, and securing substantial federal funding. Her expertise spans emerging technologies and STEM education leadership for diverse audiences, including pre-K-12, college, and adults, with a focus on out-of-school time and digital learning. Sadie is also a seasoned environmental professional with expertise in eco-innovation education, resilience planning, and sustainable development. Currently serving as Vice President of Federal Engagement and Economic Development at TIES Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM, she leads the development and implementation of innovative STEM strategies, securing significant state and federal funding to expand STEM Ecosystems across multiple states and impacting millions. She leads multi-million dollar federal partnerships like DoDSTEM/DSEC and NSF Engine: Great Lakes. Previously, as Senior Manager STEM Solutions and Partnerships at the National Math and Science Initiative, she spearheaded the development and launch of national partnerships and new STEM education programs, including novel remote teaching programs and NMSI’s inaugural Afterschool STEM Program. Her experience also includes managing education programs at the John G. Shedd Aquarium, where she launched “Shedd Academy” and online teacher professional development programs, receiving national awards for educational excellence. Sadie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Masters of Science in Biology Education.
